The Not Kind list

42 brands · generated from the live list on 14 September 2026

Every brand the app marks Not Kind, who listed it, why, and the source. This is the whole list. If a product in the app carries the band and its brand isn't here, that's a bug — tell us.

The app is a messenger. Most entries repeat a published list, in that organisation's words, with a link to it.
Our own entries say only what the source says. Where we listed a brand ourselves, the reason is the documented fact, in neutral words, with the document linked. You draw the conclusion.
Anyone can appeal. Every listing can be challenged from inside the app on one narrow question: does that source actually say this?

Listed by KindAisle12

Brands the KindAisle team listed after reviewing who owns them. Each entry states the documented fact in neutral words and links the document it comes from — a company register, a newsroom, or a campaign page — never a page of ours. Being owned by a large company is not, on its own, a reason to be here.

How brands are sized

Every product card carries a size chip when the brand is indie or fast-growing. Established brands carry none. The label is set by two questions anyone can check, not by the poster.

Established Owned by a large parent: a conglomerate, a public company, or a private-equity fund. Or independently owned, in national retail, and founded 15 or more years ago.
Fast-growing Independently owned, sold in national retail (Sephora, Ulta, Target and the like), and founded within the last 15 years.
Indie Independently owned and sold direct, or only through small shops. Amazon and marketplaces don't count as retail.

A brand moves when something observable happens: it launches in a national chain, it is acquired, or it turns 15. Minority investors don't change ownership; a founder who still controls the company is independent, celebrity or not. Brands nobody has listed before are reviewed weekly.

Think an entry is wrong? Open any product of that brand in the app and tap appeal under the listing, or write to hello@kindaisle.com. An appeal is published beside the entry and put in front of a moderator. Being owned by a large company is not, on its own, a reason to be on this list.
